What Is Honkai: Star Rail?

Honkai: Star Rail is a turn-based RPG developed by miHoYo and published globally by Cognosphere, also known as HoYoverse.

You play as the Trailblazer, traveling among the stars in a universe created by HoYoverse to embark on new journeys, meet new companions and experience story after story.

Whether you follow Akivili, the Aeon of Trailblaze; confront the forces of Voracity and Propagation; or choose to head toward Finality, each region offers its own story. From your first encounter at Herta Space Station, to saving Jarilo-VI, uncovering the history of the Cloud Quintet on the Xianzhou Luofu, resolving Penacony’s festival crisis and witnessing the epic of Amphoreus, your journey continues through Planarcadia and the ever-developing Astropolis.

Along the way, you will meet many new companions and create countless memorable moments. Trailblazers, never stop blazing your trail!

The Honkai: Star Rail Currency System

Honkai: Star Rail has a comprehensive currency system that plays an important role in obtaining and building characters and Light Cones, as well as participating in various in-game activities.

These currencies can generally be divided into three categories: paid currency, Warp currency and in-game currency.

Paid Currency — Oneiric Shards

Oneiric Shards are the primary paid currency. They can be purchased with real money through the in-game Store or online stores such as Grecharge.

Oneiric Shards can generally be converted into Stellar Jade at a 1:1 ratio.

Warp Currency — Star Rail Special Pass

Warp currency is used in the Warp system to obtain Honkai: Star Rail characters and Light Cones.

Related items include Star Rail Passes, used for regular Warp banners, and Star Rail Special Passes, used for limited-time banners. These items can be obtained by exchanging Stellar Jade or through Gift of Odyssey, level-up rewards, missions, events, the Battle Pass or by using relevant exchange materials in the Store.

In-Game Currency

Oneiric Shards: A premium currency primarily used for Warps or to replenish Trailblaze Power.

Other in-game currencies, such as Credits, Undying Embers and Undying Starlight, are not covered in detail here. Players can explore them in the game.

How to Get Stellar Jade and Oneiric Shards in Honkai: Star Rail

Oneiric Shards are a premium currency that can only be obtained by spending real money in the in-game top-up Store. Please note that top-up methods and prices may vary depending on the channel, platform or region.

In the in-game Store, open “Phone,” select “Store” and use the “Oneiric Shards” section to top up.

There are also many third-party top-up platforms to choose from. Grecharge is one option for purchasing Oneiric Shards, offering attractive discounts while prioritizing account security. Grecharge also provides detailed product information to help you choose the right product with confidence.

Stellar Jade can be earned through in-game events, exploration, story missions, Daily Training and the Battle Pass. You can also obtain Stellar Jade by converting Oneiric Shards.

Please note that once Oneiric Shards have been converted into Stellar Jade, they cannot be converted back.

Another cost-effective way to get Stellar Jade is to purchase the Express Supply Pass. You will receive 300 Oneiric Shards immediately, followed by 90 Stellar Jade each day when you log in during the next 30 days.

The Express Supply Pass costs the same as purchasing 300 Oneiric Shards directly, while also providing an additional 2,700 Stellar Jade.
